You know what really grinds my gears? Paranoid fanfiction authors. I get that they're pissed someone ripped off their story and tried to post it as their own. It's a damn shame people try to do that. But that is no reason to take down your story. Yeah no one can cut and paste your text again, but that also means people who want to read it CAN'T!

And furthermore, if you're going to replace every chapter with the "this story has been removed" message, then change the frickin' summary! I've scrolled through lists of titles and your story sounded interesting, only for me to click on it and see that you've got an author's note on repeat. I get if you don't want to delete the story to keep your reviews, but please warn me in the summary that there's no story to read anymore.

Spleef is a shining example of how to treat a stolen story. She keeps hers up! (that's what she said ) Yes, it's an unfortunate occurrence, but people know who the real author is, report the fake, and you can still read her awesome plots. She doesn't say "OMG, I don't want this to happen again so I'm taking down the story so if I want to rework it and make it a novel someday no one gets there first with MY idea! Sucks for interested fans but too bad."

Just pisses me off. How hard is it to change the summary? Be more considerate, you so-called victims!
